No mention of George's dad's passing?

I remember hearing an interview shortly after 33 1/3 came out where George spoke of seeing the ghost of his dad appear to him right at the time he died.

That always freaked me alittle.

But it's odd there was no mention of this in the film. They mention his mum's passing but nothing about his father.
