George and Dhani

You know, I can't help but look at Dhani and see a lot of his father in him. I'm glad that he's his own man, has his own personality, and is very talented. He seems like a sweet, fun, and cool person. It's just that whenever I see him in interviews or anywhere else, I can't help but notice some of the same mannerisms and same quality that George has. I bet the father/son relationship between them is indescribable and tremendous. It's not just him, it's Julian, Sean, Zac, Stella, Mary, and the others. They look a lot like their parents, ESPECIALLY their fathers, but they are their own people.

reply

Yep all apples off the Beatle tree! Some who have seen pic state the grandkids favor grandpa Paul and Ringo too. Dhani favors both parents a lot? The kids sound Ok, but I favor their dad's music.

reply

Totally. I've seen a few pictures of Paul and Ringo's grandchildren and yes they do look like just like their grandfathers, too! I bet they're cool grandpas!
I hope someday in the future, Dhani, Julian and Sean will each have kids of their own. They all seem to make great fathers themselves. And I BET you that their kids will look just like George and John as well. I think when Dhani was little he looked more like Olivia mixed with a bit of George but as he grew up, he was starting to look more, more and more like George. Even George himself said, "My son looks more like George Harrison than I do!"
Btw, is it me or does it seem that Ringo and Zac kinda have the same dressing style? It's very cool to me for some reason.

Not only John, Paul, George and Ringo together are the greatest band in history, they have some CRAZY STRONG GENES! We can look at their children and CAN TELL that they are their children! It's amazing!!! Even their mannerisms and how they talk reminds us of their parents. Like people say many times that when they see Julian talk and doing interviews, his essence & the way he talks about some things reminds them of John. Seems like no matter what, they're all going to indirectly have similar mannerisms and qualities to their parents. But the good thing is, they all have their different personalities which makes them awesome.

reply

That's cool about the Fab Four genepool. I recall in a People article not too long ago, Heather stated Beatrice likes to sing. I'm like OMG. Yes Julian does sound like his dad a bit when speaking and singing. Stella and James look like both parents too. Yes Dhani did look Hispanic when he was a kid, but Sean favored Yoko more as a kid too. Time will tell if they settle down, although Julian is pushing 50,and the other two 40. Men can reproduce forever but the energy decreases with age. A few of Mick Jagger's kid are bi-racial, his eldest daughters Karis and Jade are part Black and Hispanic, they both favor him a lot too. One of his younger kids is part Brazilain. Eric's eldest daughter Ruth's mom is from the Caribbean, but I have not seen many pics of her. Angelina Jolie's biological kids are the spitting image of grandpa Jon Voight, especailly Shiloh.

reply

Awww! Beatrice likes to sing? That's great! I have a feeling she might get into music someday. Stella and James do look like a mixture of Paul & Linda. They seem to have gotten the blond hair from her while Mary gotten the brown her from him. People say that if you close your eyes while listening to Julian talk, you'll think that John is talking. In many of his songs, especially the one parodying The Beatles, he sounds very much like his dad. I promise ya'. I couldn't tell if that was him or John. I even mistaken Zac as Ringo one time when I was going through some of his and the others' pictures. Lol! Jason looks very much like him, too. Lee, Ringo's daughter, has his eyes and they're so pretty. Once, I looked at this extremely adorable photo of Ringo and Lee(she looked like she was 3, 4, or 5 years old at the time), and they both were looking at the camera similarly. Their blue eyes just made me go, "OMG. Incredible." I know because I myself have similar eyes to my father.
I agree about Dhani and Sean. When they were little boys, they favored their mothers more but as they grew up and right now, they look way more like their fathers. The George and John genes REALLY kicked in once the boys grew up. Also, Julian and Sean don't look like eachother much but they both look like their father a lot. It is said that Julian looks like John when he was younger and Sean looks like John when he was older. Basically, they both look like John the times when they were born. Also, I've noticed lately that they do share some qualities as well. Like when they open their eyes wide open as if they're surprised, the way their eyes look are pretty similar. John's eyes were sorta small and narrow. Also, notice when they stand next to eachother, they almost seem like the same height. Just about everything about Dhani is very similar to George. He talks like him, too. But what really gets me is his beautiful smile. There was this photo of George, Olivia and Dhani. They were all smiling. I saw Dhani's smile and saw George's smile, and I kinda got chills. Both smiles really looked near exactly the same! Whoa!
Indeed time will tell if those three will settle down and it's in God's hands. Dhani, Julian, and Sean all have the means to still be able to have children if they wanted to.
That's amazing about Mick's daughters and other kids! I agree that Shiloh sure do looks like her grandfather Jon Voight. Btw, I've always thought that Lisa Marie looks a lot like her father, Elvis.

reply

I'm glad Angelina made peace with her dad. I read Brad encouraged her to mend fences. Although I disaprove of her wrecking his marriage to Jen, they do seem happy. Lisa Marie is the spitting image of her dad. I found out Elvis was blond as a child. I don't know if it changed or he dyed his hair. George was blond as a toddler too. Similar to Patti, Lisa M was devastated when Mj died. I think there was also regret in divorcing him. She stated MJ taunted her about Debbie agreeing to have his child , when she did not want kids. That had to hurt. Patti was invited to The Concert for George, but I think it was to painful for her.

reply

Elvis' hair was light brown in 1956 before he started to dye it black. In 1977 it would have been pretty grey I believe, just like his dads. And his grandson looks a lot like him too.

How about this band: Sean Lennon, James McCartney, Dhani Harrison, Zakk Starkey and Julian Lennon. We'd need a bass player....

reply

Oh okay, mika. Maybe it was starting to go grey by then but he was still kinda young for that to happen;he was 42 when he died. Then again, with all of the horrible damage he was doing to his body, who knows? I wished he hadn't done that to himself. You mean Lisa Marie's oldest son look like him as well?

Btw, that sounds like an AWESOME idea.

reply

Yes, here is a picture, sort of punk rocker version of Elvis :)

http://cdn.babble.com/famecrawler/files/2009/10/ben-presley_1494745c.jpg

I've seen a picture of Elvis that showed some grey in sideburns. Can't find it right now.

reply

I'm also glad that Angelina made peace with her dad, Jon, but with all that's happened with her, Brad and Jen, I barely care. Forgive me but I just don't care. I agree about Lisa Marie. To me, she's like what Elvis probably would've looked like if he was a woman. I knew about him being born blond. He was actually strawberry blond and was told by his managers when he was getting started in his music career to dye his hair dark brown to which he did. I'd seen a picture of him with his blond hair and he actually look very handsome as much as he was with the darker hair. I've heard and seen how much Lisa Marie was devestated when Michael died and she seemed to have a lot of guilt. I didn't know he taunted her about that. Hurtful indeed. She also said that she tried to get him off of the drugs and eventually, didn't want to compete with his drug addiction. I know that it must've been painful for Patti for George like Lisa here.

reply

Wow GL

You know your rock history girl! I'm impressed! Lisa stated her current husband helped her through her depression of MJ's death. That couldn't have been easy, she's got a good guy. I wouldn't say he taunted her, but he did tell her that Debbie was willing to have kids since she wasn't. According to rumors during their separation, she changed her mind about kids, but it was too late. The Debbie Rowe situation with the kids is strange but it's their life. I'm sure Patti will have fond feelings for George until her last breath, but she seems to be at a good place in her life now.

reply

Thanks, hilda! Lol! But, I STILL have A WHOLE LOT to learn.

I didn't know that. My goodness. Yes, the situation with Debbie Rowe is strange but it's none of our concern as you say. I'm glad Lisa's current husband helped her through this and supported her. She's blessed to have such a great husband. The only other person I've heard that was also severely devestated by Michael's death was Elizabeth Taylor. My dad told me that he heard that she use to talk to Michael about everything & share many personal secrets with him. I even read somewhere that Elizabeth said that God have to teach her how to live life without Michael. Then, she'd passed away barely 2 years after him! Personally, I think she couldn't go on with life without Michael because of their strong friendship. I think Michael and Elizabeth had connected so well due to their lost childhoods, fame, controversy and such. I think John and Paul's relationship was just as strong and dynamic like theirs. I hope Pattie is doing very well in her life. I wish nothing but the best for her.

reply

Yes I think Elizabeth and MJ connected over childhood fame. She was sick for years, I'm glad she is at peace. Since I don't know them personally, I wish all celebrities the best. It is fun to read and talk about their lives.

reply

Both of their childhood was taken away from them and they became legends through their talent, tragedy, controversy and other things. I hate what happened to them both. I hope they've found eachother in the afterlife though.

Dang! We're doing it again here! Off topic like crazy. Lol!

You know, I've always wondered about George and Dhani's relationship, though I know it's not my place to ask. But, out curiousity, I wanted to know. I'd seen many photos of them and Olivia, and they come across as a normal and happy family. Plus, I'd always imagined George doing father/son things with his son like playing catch or in this case, playing the guitar with him.
Any thoughts on that?

reply

Since he waited quite a while to be a dad, I'm sure George did a lot of cool things with Dhani. Not to mention, he was his only child. I think Dhani has two degrees from different universities. That has to make any parent proud. I'm not sure George finished high school, although I read he was a good student. I think John and Paul are HS grads. I read Dhani use to help him in the garden, so I'm sure they bonded over that. On a Youtube video covering his marriage to Patti, George once joked he wanted 39 kids! LOL! I wonder why he and Olivia only had one?

reply

Damn! 39 KIDS?! LOL!!!!!! Don't be like Jim Bob Duggar, George! No way!
I also wondered why he and Olivia didn't have any more kids. At least one more. But I guess he was happy with the one he got, especially since being a parent is very hard work. It's like my mother says:"It's very difficult yet very rewarding." I think he was 35 when he and Olivia had Dhani. So, he waited quite a while while his other three pals had theirs sorta early. That's great that Dhani would help his father in the garden. Plus, I bet it was amazing when George most likely taught his son to play the guitar and such. I've seen several photos where Dhani was seen playing with his dad at one of his concerts in the 90s. I'd seen this beautiful picture of George and Dhani at one of his concerts I think. George looks to be kissing Dhani on the forehead with his arm wrapped around his shoulder. So sweet.

Wow! That's wonderful that he earned his degrees from the universities he attended. I've always got the notion that he's very intelligent. Boy, I bet Olivia and even George are so proud of him it's insane! I figured George was a good student himself, as well. I know that John completed high school and I think Paul did as well. I hate Ringo didn't get to finish due to the problems he had to deal with concerning his health as little boy. He's not dumb like what most are trying to portray.

reply

I read a thread on Beatlelinks.com, that George dropped out of HS, it sounds like he left in his senior year. It also stated he promised his parents he would look for a good job. I also read his dad wanted all his kids to go to university for a secure financial future. Makes sense he was bitterly disappointed in his youngest son's decision. Good paying jobs were probably very scarce in postwar Liverpool. I wonder if he ever obtained his diploma later. Does anyone know if Britain was a program similiar to the American GED. I know Cyndi Lauper and Waylon Jennings got their HS diploma later in life. Steven Speilberg and Jesse Jackson obtained their college degrees a few years ago after dropping out of college decades ago. It's never too late. I know Barabara Starkey went back and got her Masters degree. I think some of Paul's kids went to college too. I'm not sure about Ringo. It is sad illness derailed his educational dreams. I never thought he was dumb, just goofy.

reply

Did he really? Aww. I can understand why Louise and Harold Sr. would be disappointed by George's decision. Though, I'm glad that George did have secure financial future due to The Beatles and his own music career.
Hmm. I don't know if Britain has a program similar to American GED here. I'm glad the people you've named got their diplomas and degrees. And yes, Ringo always was/is goofy & funny. It's just that in cartoons and other incarnations, they portray him as dimwitted and dumb.

Also, on a personal note, if you don't mind me sharing a little bit, I almost dropped out of high school myself. See, the last year of high school for me was for the most part hell. I thought that I wasn't doing well in school and that my grades weren't to where it would make my parents happy. I guess I was an average student. But that was besides that. I always felt that school and me don't mix. Plus, I had put up with a lot of bullying and I was extremely sick of it. I told my mother that I wanted drop out and get my GED. But she pleaded me until she was blue in the face to stay and get my diploma which I agonizingly did for her sake. I graduated in 2009. But now, thanks to all that's happened, I've decided not go to college. I'm not sure if I'll ever go. I would like to but there's just so much things like paying the tuition, especially in this economy, my major, I'd definetly major in art, and the stress of dealing with some people. Again, my mother is the one who desperately wants me to go to college but I'm just not certain. For now, I have to see what happens.

Btw, I found something amazing pertaining to this subject. Now, I've know how the guys' kids look so much like them cause of the several photos I've seen of them. But when I saw some more of these pictures of them all here, WOW!!!!
Here:

reply

Yep their wives definately did not cheat! Nice pics! I also wonder why Barbara and Ringo never had kids? I know she has two by her 1st marriage. GL your mom is right, go to college while you are young, it's easier. I still have to finish my Bachelor's. I have deep regrets not doing it years ago. I'm sorry you were bullied, it seems it's gotten worse since my generation which wasn't that long ago.

reply

Indeed. I've also wondered why Barbara and Ringo never had kids or something. They would've made great parents as they are with their own. But hey, they look like they're still one happy, blessed couple & that's all that matters.
Yes, I should go to college right now and I have to. But I'm still trying to find the right university and the right time to do so. I hope you finish your Bachelors and may the best of luck be with you.
I also agree that it seems like bullying is getting worse and worse. I've delt with it from kindergarden to my senior year. Each year, it seemed like it was going from bad to worst. I don't know why, it's just that maybe it's something about me that kids feel the need to put me down and hurt me in all kinds of ways. It's one of the main reasons why I've always HATED going to school. My mom is still hoping I go to college and I want to but I hope there anybody that bothers me cause in the last couple of years, it's getting hard to trust some people and be comfortable around them.

reply

That's a long time to be picked on. I have good and bad memories from my school days. That's tragic what happened to you. Check out the other topic on this page, I posted a website that has vintage pics of the Fab Four with funny captions. How do you include the link? I have trouble with that.

reply

Yeah. It's okay. Really. Some of the good things I enjoyed from school was the learning experiences with the teachers, art classes, history classes, religion classes when I was in a Catholic private school, field trips, and hanging with my friends. Still, I hate that the bullying happened. But it happened and my only hope is that it doesn't happen to my own future children when I become a wife & mother. I don't want them to have to suffer and go through what I went through. If I have to, I'll have someone to homeschool them because it seems like most of today's children are getting more cruel, more twisted, more disrespectful and more hateful than ever. I can only pray that it'll change for the better.

Your website sounds cool! I know what you mean about the link problem, hilda. The first couple of years I was here as a member, I didn't get it until I accidently clicked on the 'markup enabled' which is in parentheses beside 'Body text' above the posting box. Click on that, scroll down a little bit, and you'll see where they'll tell you how to make the links you provide work. You have to put the brackets on both sides of the link and have 'url' in the first and '/url' on the second one. Also, if you want to make sure the link works correctly, make sure everything about it from the website, code, letters, numbers, etc. is exactly the way its site shows it to be so that whomever wants to go to it can go. I hope that helps, girl. If not, click on (markup enabled) above the posting box when you're getting ready to post again. It explains it better.

reply

Thanks I checked out the" markup enabled" box, and found it very resourceful. I have been posting on IMDB for years and never used it. Cute icons. By the way here's another cool interview from Olivia in 2009.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/sftw/2477500/He-would-have-considered-a-Beatles-reunion-he-had-great-love-for-them.html

reply

You're welcome, hilda. Yeah. I've been on IMDB since 2005 and it took almost 3 years to figure out the (markup enabled). I LOVE the icons. That's why I use them in almost all of my posts.

Btw, thank you for the link. I'll see if it can work, dear. Even without reading, I think Olivia would've been very encouraging for George to consider a full Beatles reunion.

reply

It seems she adores Ringo and Paul. In fact, I read she hates it when people write bios on any member. Similiar to George's sister who has a book coming out on her experiences with you know who , feels many books on both her late brother and the group are less tha accurate.

reply

I believe she really does adore Ringo and Paul. To me, they seem so at ease around here and vice versa. She comes across a nice woman and is classy. Louise Jr. and 'you know who'? Her brother? Hmm. I digress, but you're right. I don't blame her nor Olivia for despising the fact that some people write books about the guys that aren't really accurate and false.

reply

You might be pleasantly surprised that people are more mature in post secondary school, not as nasty as in high school. Best of luck.

reply

Thank you, iloverollingstones. I hope that people are more respectful and not cruel. It's hard to find people that are kind and encouraging.

Elvis was blond as a child but there was no need to dye it brown since it turned that way naturally in his teens.

Scroll down to see the changes.

1957- he dyed it black. Except for some movie roles where you can see the undyed hair or wig like this:

Found a lovely video with George and Dhani. It gets me rather teary eyed. Check it out.

In one article, Louise mentions that former President Clinton summoned her to his office in Harlem to offer his condolescences shortly after her brother's death, and how before he became President, Obama aksed if she wouldn't mind taking a picture with her at some event since he was a Beatle's fan. That was cute the way Paul serenaded Michelle a few months back. On You Tube, one poster suggested Paul and Olivia should have hooked up since both were nice people and lonely before he remarried. I sincerely think that would not be appealing to either one. But if that did happen, it would have been interesting. I saw that video you later sent a link too, it was sweet. In a more recent video, Dhani mentioned how after getting into trouble with the cops, his dad told the cops to 'go to hell'! I thought wow that takes clout to talk to the cops like that. I'm wondered Dhani what in the hell did you do? I think he was a teen then. Sorry about Heather Locklear, she is a good actress and a nice person. I hope she fights her demons.

reply

Really? That's nice of both Presidents Clinton and Obama for being kind to Louise. Wonder if she took the picture with him. I figured that the president is a Beatles fan. I know almost 2 years ago, President Obama awarded Paul with the award(forgotten what it's called) for outstanding, influence and contribution of music. Barack spoke very well and highly of the band and Paul. Paul said that he was glad that he received the award from him in particular. Say, when and where did Paul serenade Michelle? That sounds REALLY cute!!!!! Yeah. I've seen that poster's comment about how it would've been nice if Paul and Olivia getting together. I think it was on the video where Olivia, Dhani, Paul, Tom Hanks, and a few of their other friends were at the Walk of Fame for George. That's where I saw it. For some strange reason, I was thinking the same thing. Paul seemed attentive towards her there. They both lost their beloved spouses, are nice people, and seem to click together. I've seen some videos of them when they're promoting something Beatles-related with Ringo and...Yoko, of course, where they are kinda getting a bit snuggly together. Yeah. As you said, it might not be appealing to either one of them but it sounds very interesting and sweet.
That video I sent a link to you, Dhani mentions a bit about that incident. Hearing from Dhani in this same video, he actually says that his father told the cops to, "F@%* off!". LOL! So, I take it that George never grounded him for that incident or anything? I, too, wonder what in the hell did Dhani do for him to be in trouble with the cops! He also says that he realized there that he and his dad are the same kind of cool. Hmm, also, maybe George was a little bit overprotective of Dhani. Awwwww. And it's like several of the comments on the video had said:he's like a mini-George. Lol! He sure has some of his father's sauciness and charm.

Btw, I hate what happened to Heather Locklear. Though, I never really liked her, I pray that she's okay and recovers.

reply

It was earlier this year Paul received the Gershwin Award at the White House. Stevie Wonder, The Jonas Brothers, Herbie Hancock, Faith Hill, and a few others honored him with tribute songs. I recall Paul received some backlash for trashing ex-President Bush and praising Obama. Since he is his only child, it would make since George would be overprotective. I recall reading as a baby, he and Olivia were very particular over who could see him. It is too bad , they never had other kids, I bet if they had a daughter, she would have been very pretty. I'm sure his and Patti's kids if she had been lucky to be a mom would have been cute too. I read she miscarried Eric's kid. That's sad. Yoko had a lot of miscarriages too. Olivia did state she was very close to Paul's family. Stella even made Dhani some clothes once. So that's probably why they were snuggly. Then again, who knows they may have secretly dated for awhile. I'm sure she gave him a friendly shoulder to cry on during his nasty divorce. I'm sure Orpah was pleased as punch to be inducted into the Kennedy Center Honors with her childhood crush Paul a few years ago. She also liked Jackie Jackson, last year Jackie took her on a date and granted her an interview. Speaking of the Jacksons, I think Marlon married at 17, well he and his wife are still together as far as I know. It broke my heart to hear his speech and watch him break down at his brother's memorial. Although he got strange in later years, it is sad the world did not appreciate MJ until it was too late.

reply

That's it! The Gershwin Award. Hmm, I thought it was 2010. Oh well. I watched the event twice:on the Internet and on TV one night on PBS when I was channel surfing. It was GREAT! I enjoyed the tributes artists like Faith Hill, the Jonas Brothers, and others did for Paul. I really enjoyed the part where Paul finally took the stage and performed "Ebony and Ivory" with Stevie Wonder. It was so cute how Stevie explained how their duet came to be and such before they performed it. I don't blame Paul for trashing President Bush(Jr.). That man basically screwed up our economy and society in 8 FREAKIN' YEARS! He caused 2 wars, lied about weapons of mass destructions over in Iraq, didn't help people when Hurricane Katrina hit, several other unfortunate events, and worst of all, the collapse of the economy shortly before the election in 2008. Then, they blaming this BS on Obama and he's basically a victim just like the rest of us!!!! Okay. I'm sorry, hilda. Got carried away. My blood is boiling just a little bit and I have to take a breather. Lol! Yeah, I don't blame Paul on how he feels about Bush. I hope that step by step, the economy gets back on its feet(financially & morally) and Obama continues to instill encouragement.

Glad Oprah was inducted with Paul into the Kennedy Center Honors. I saw an interview she did with him in the late 90s and she couldn't get it together when talking to him! I don't blame her. Plus, she jokingly remarked that she was the only black girl in school who had a 'Paul poster'. Lol! It was an awesome interview! I also seen her go out on a date with her other crush, Jackie Jackson. THAT was awesome! It was really sweet how they got to talking and such. Jackie is also my mom's crush. She said that she use to dream about the Jackson 5, would meet up with Michael just to get to Jackie.

OMG, Marlon. I adore Marlon. My heart was aching for him when he made his speech at the end of Michael's memorial. Him and Paris got me. I sure hate what happened to Michael. His story is one of the greatest yet saddest stories I've ever heard and seen. I think his no good father, fame and constant need for perfection ultimately killed him. I think he didn't mean any harm to any one. It's just that, he kinda was "a little off" in his head but had some positivity. Plus, judging from some of the interviews with his kids, I believe he was also a very good father.
I try not to think about Pattie's unfortunate situations of losing her kids. It leaves me very depressed. I wonder why she didn't adopt?

I'm glad Olivia is close to Paul's family. Hope she is with Ringo's and John's as well. Btw, it would seem like John's, Paul's, George's & Ringo's families would make ONE GREAT BIG FAMILY. Think of it:the McCartneys+the Lennons+the Harrisons+the Starkeys= GIGANTIC FAMILY. I think they would be called The BEATLE FAMILY.
Btw, you meant that he and Olivia were careful on who got to see him as a baby, right? Of course, they would let their family members and friends like Ringo and Paul see him. And what do you know, now, Dhani is seemingly all over the place. I think it would've been wonderful if they also had a daughter. I bet she would've been such daddy's little girl. Awwww.
Still, I think George was happy and proud with the one child he had. Thinking back to that video and seeing the two of them in the studio makes me teary eyed as well as smile.

reply

Hi again,

I think people are wrong to trash Joe Jackson, he made mistakes, but he took his family out of poverty, I do think he is a little goofy. I wish Paris the best in her dream of becoming an actress. I recall Yoko helped Olivia with her charity for orphans in Romania back in the 90's. In addition, Yoko appeared at the premiere of the documentary last year, and I saw her sitting with Olivia at a recent Paul concert. So maybe they are close now. I heard reports that George resented her for a long time, whether that changed as the years went by I don't know.

reply

Hey there.

Personally, I think Joe Jackson deserve the criticisms he receives. Sure, he was the driving force behind the Jackson 5's success, but he also pushed them too hard and abused them. Michael was very sensitive and he didn't help matters. Michael would say that everytime his father would be around him, he would feel sick in his tomach and want to regurgitate. He was truelly afraid of that man. Then, his father made fun of him talking about that he needs to regurgitate all the way to the bank. That's really stupid. I hate that he and his siblings had to call him 'Joseph' instead of 'Dad'. Which is why Michael didn't want his kids to call him 'Michael' but 'Daddy'. He didn't want to his kids to be afraid of him like he was with his dad. Whenever I see Paris, Prince, and Blanket on some of their interviews, they appear to speak so fondly of their dad and are still recovering from losing him. I pray that she and her brothers have wonderful, blessed lives and still keep the memory of their father in their hearts.

Hilda, forgive me but frankly, I really don't care at all when it comes to Yoko. I'm glad she's friendly with Olivia and everyone else but let's leave it at that. I think George ALWAYS DESPISED Yoko. Though, he still put with her because of The Beatles image and trying to keep peace. That's all I got to say about her.

reply

Yes I do think that is sad they could not call him "Daddy". Somehow though I don't think Katherine is the innocent bystander in their emotional turmoil, although she is a product of her generation, maybe she should have defended them more. I'm not of fan of Yoko either, when she went to Japan after the multiple natural disasters last year, I thought, please don't sing, they have been though enough. It took Paul and Ringo 40 years to forgive you! ( Just Kidding), I just like the music, I'm not really interested in the personal conflicts. To be honest, the juicy stuff about their romances is fun to read and talk about, but it ends there. Since you are the current gen, how do you feel about Adele? She does have a nice voice. Bruno Mars is OK too.

reply

Very sad indeed. I never really understood why he made them call him "Joseph". I hate that. At least, their mother told them to call her "Mother" or "Mama".
You're absolutely right about Katharine not being the innocent bystander in all of that drama. She should've done something like defended or protect her children. Even he mistreated her and still stayed with him. I'm sorry but if I were her, I'd take my kids and leave his butt a long time ago. Still, I guess, as you pointed out, she couldn't help what generation she's from.

Yeah. I heard of Yoko going to Japan for the people who were affected by those natural disasters and nuclear power plant problem which is great. But, I just can't bring myself to even respect her ultimately. She's always had a strange, negative vibe about her to me. I don't care about her terrible singing. It's her personality, attiude, and behavior that doesn't sit well with me & lots of people. I'm glad that after all these years, people like Paul, Ringo, Cyn and Julian had forgiven her even though she might not deserve it. I commend them for doing so because if that were me, it be extremely difficult to forgive her. But my feelings haven't change and probably won't ever change about her, and that's that.

I never thought that after I became a Beatles fan, I'd learn not only a lot about their music, legacy, but even a bit about their lives. And I'm the type of person that really doesn't like delving into peoples' personal lives, famous or not. But I guess as long as they're okay with sharing some things about their lives, it's okay. As you said, it ends there and we don't want to know too much. Yet I know we're still gonna to continue to learn about more interesting things about the guys.

I think both Adele and Bruno Mars are amazing singers. They actually have great talent in a music industry nowadays about less talent and way more glamour. I love Adele in her songs "Rolling In The Deep" and "Chasing Pavements". She has that soulful, classical tone in her voice. Bruno Mars' voice is a pleasnant surpise to me. He is one of the few great singers nowadays. I enjoy his songs like "Grenade", "The Lazy Song", and "It Will Rain". Have you heard any of those songs? They are great.

reply

Bruno's "The Way You Are" played at my friend's wedding last year. I like Christina Aguilera too, but she needs to stop dressing and acting trashy. Yes the Beatles sex appeal is timeless. I hope Adele's throat heals.

reply

Oh really? That's wonderful. Congratulations for your friend. I'll listen to that song of his. You should really listen to "It Will Rain". I tell ya', that song gets stuck in my head. Lol! It's from the 4th Twilight film(OVERRATED FILM). It's so beautiful. His vocals in that song are beyond amazing. I think Adele is recovering just nicely. She has such a beautiful voice. I've always liked Christina as well. She's a fantastic singer, too. I hope she settles down a bit on her wardrobe and attitude. But hey, at least she isn't acting extremely ridiculous like most celebrities today.

My goodness. The Beatles' sex appeal IS timeless. It's so true because young women like me have such a strange attraction to them that I never thought it was possible. Lol!

Hi GL,

Which one do you have a crush on more, it sounds like you really like George. Here is a website I stumbled across. http://georgeislove.wordpress.com/

reply

Hi, hilda. Again, sorry for late replies.

My favorite Beatle is Ringo, but for some reason as of late, I'm having a growing crush on George.
That sounds like a lovely site dedicated to George. Thanks, girl.

reply

Hi Gl,

You may like to know this. George was of French, English and Irish descent.

reply

Hi, hilda.

That's awesome. I heard that he got the French part from Louise's side. You know what? That explains why he has such a uniquely nice body and face in terms of bone structure and facial features. Plus, if you listen closely, his accent sounds as if he has a mixture of British, French and Irish. Find a George video on YT with him talking and listen. To be honest, I think his voice is the sexiest out of all of four guys.
Btw, Dhani would also be of English, French, and Irish descent as well as Mexican descent. He also has a uniquely nice and body like his father. His accent sounds more British and, I could be wrong about this, slightly American mixed together. His voice also sounds sexy. I think he and George have similar sounding voices in terms of tone and somewhat high-pitched. Once, I was looking at an interview with Dhani and I mistakingly thought it was his dad. Lol!
Wow. Genes are something else.

reply

Yes his mom was French/Irish/. I think his dad was Irish/English. I wondered if they had any Italian or Gypsy in their family since his dad seemed to have an olive complexion.

reply

That's incredible. You know, they might have had Italian or Gypsy in their family. Even George had sort of an olive complexion.

reply

I read in some book, on the family tree one of his grandmothers was Italian, or part Italian.

reply

That's incredible! That makes sense. I think that's sorta where he got those deliciously intense dark eyes from. What do you think?

George has all kinds of great ethnicity in him.

reply

Don't take too much stock in that source, it was from Dark Horse by G. Gulliano, other fans state he is a litte flaky with his credibility. I'm not that invested in the Fab Four lives, I just read stuff for fun. I'm just going by GH's features, like you stated, his family seems to have a very ethnically diverse background.

I just found this out on Beatlelinks.com Dhani is engaged.

Sorry, dear, the link doesn't work but that's okay. Really? That's awesome! Finally! I was wondering when Dhani was going to get married. So, his fiancee is an Icelandic Chief's daughter? That's interesting. Anyway, thanks for giving me the news. I hope he and his future wife have a blessed and happy future.

According to a fan on http://www.beatlelinks.net, Dhani is a physicist, car designer, and video game designer. Smart guy.

Thank you, hilda. Sorry it took so long to reply. That's great info news. I wish Dhani and his wife-to-be nothing but happiness and blessings.

I ALWAYS knew that Dhani's an extremely intelligent, gifted guy. When I first heard him talk, I've noticed how he would say things and express himself.

y'know,it's common knowledge that dhani looks a lot like george and in the beginning i was amazed by their resemblance too but think of how it is for dhani himself...looking in the mirror and seeing yourself but also your father, even more so because of how much he looks like him...i bet its hard at times...esp in his position.i mean,he doesn't have to work a day in his life but he makes music..however there's the stupid downside of people comparing him to his father and no doubt people will...he's an incredibly lucky person but sometimes it must be hard to be him..i think
This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time.

reply

I saw pictures of him as a baby and tot, he looked more Hispanic then to me.
