Question on the ending of 'The Circle' SPOILERS

Here is a simple question that I hope someone can answer for me. If this was supposed to be some Sisyphean purgatory she put Brian in, why then did she write herself into the story (I'm speaking of the witch)? Doesn't that mean that she has to be murdered by the wife again and again for all eternity? She gets it the worst if you ask me... having a knife slowly plunged into your chest. Kind of didn't make sense to me.

Not to mention the fact that this constitutes an obvious time paradox. The entire world is going to continue to reset to 9:45 Halloween night 2009 for all eternity. Talk about one selfish Witch (nice pun).

Oh and talk about one hell of a rip off of Alan Wake.

Kind of old but just in case you never found out Alan Wake is a video game for the XBox 360. My son has it but I've never played it but as far as I know the plot centers around a writer and his wife who are vacationing in a cabin in the woods so he can recharge and get over his writer's block. I know she goes missing and there's a lot about darkness and she's afraid of the dark but that's all I know.

You are right, that's why is called the circle, they are condemned to repeat again and again the same punishment. I saw this episode some time ago and I love it and hated it, mainly because the punishment was excessive.
