The Sacrifice

I found this episode to be really disappointing. I was just wondering what everyone else thought of this episode?

Kill off all my demons and my angels might die too.

I thought it was alright, about a 6. I personally like more gore and it was'nt very creepy.

It would have been better on Showtime instead of NBC.

Well, at first I thought, this is Wicker Man Jr.! Creepy women in white, isolated place, blonde girl with an axe... very identical to Wicker Man. It was even called Sacrifice and the movie Wicker Man is about a sacrifice. Then they threw vampires in and I thought, OK. This is Wicker Man Jr. with vampires.

At least the vampire was actually a monster and not some existential-crisis-having pansy immortal.

In the end, I thought the episode was ludicrous, but I managed to enjoy it to some extent anyway.

Watching this on Netflix now, I agree, I thought of the Wicker Man the whole time, except I laughed throughout that movie at Nick Cage's performance.

Uh I just saw the end of this, what did the ending mean? I got confused about his revelation and her reaction.

Did not like the ending one bit. So, the one chick said that the vamp had been feeding off the their father for a while, and he (the dad) didn't turn until he was killed, he was dead for a few seconds, then came back as a vamp and SLICE, the daughter gets him with an ax in the neck.

So, the ending, they look at eachother and the guy reveals that he has some puncture wounds...to his SHOULDER? WTF? The chick makes a "dang, this sucks" face and closes the door. Seems to be a crappy attempt at making the ending not a happy ending. All of the "Fear Itself" epi's seem to be that way. Did you watch "Skin & Bones"?

she moronically decides that she can't leave the fort like she wanted because she has to continue what her colony did many many years ago, because there is still a vampire left. But if I were her, I'd axe him before he changes, and then go check out the world. It didn't have to end like that. She could have experienced the world, just alone. I mean she is going to have one hell of a time feeding the vampire alone without it getting out, or her victims escaping.

I came on here because I disliked this episode so much myself, I wanted to commiserate.

A whole village of people couldn't kill off one vampire--especially when they knew exactly what to do? She gets real smart in the end and uses the well to trap the vamp, instead of collecting victims. They could have done that all along! And the women took special glee in setting up the victims. Why did she sew Navarro's mouth shut with no remorse? To me, the sisters enjoyed what they were doing.

I thought this episode was quite solid and enjoyable. The vampire in particular was extremely creepy and grotesque.

I also questioned why suddenly the leads could take down the vampire with their wits when they couldn't do it before . It also wasn't scary or suspenseful in the slightest, and the acting was pretty bad. Terrible episode.
