I have watched this episode many times and can't seem to figure out how the Eater got out of his cell and when he managed to take out Marty and Mattingly. Sarge locked the cell. Did he use his powers to somehow unlock the cell? I remember once a "gust" of clear "air" pass by Bannerman when she was in the hallway, was that his "power" gusting threw the hallway to kill the other two officers? Anyone have ideas?
shareHe used his chanting to create an "alternate reality" that people within that bubble would see. He probably made himself disappear in their eyes and then someone opened the cell to try find out how he had escaped, at which time he killed them and really escaped.

I don't know about that cause certain things seemed off. Like the sergeant when he came back to HQ (eater in disguise) He was in plain clothes and went to the locker room like he forgot something. Yet when they found his body he was wearing his uniform. I can't see Marty or Mattingly being that stupid to open the cell to check on him. Besides, they were all down stairs when the police station seemingly went empty. Mattingly must have been the first killed because when the eater, as Marty, heard the noise, he laughed and said it wasn't mattingly, as in he knew that Mattingly was dead already, The Sergeant also looked as if he had a bullet in his head when they removed the bag. Great episode, but they should have shown his escape... like how the transport team said they patted him down 10 times but missed that chanting thing he used the size of a handgun.
