What's Your Ultimate Assembly of Horror Directors!?
This thread probably exists somewhere on the Masters of Horror boards but I wanna start another. Just to see who was left out of both Masters of Horror and Fear Itself and who could make a great return.
My ULTIMATE DIRECTOR's list would be:
-David Cronenburg (It would be awesome to see him to return to stuff like Videodrome and the Fly. He's a horror legend.
-Guillermo Del Toro (Holy $hit would that be awesome!)
-Quentin Tarintino (You know with From Dusk til Dawn and Death Proof this guys probably got a lot of ideas for horror flicks that he justs needs a chance to realize.
-Peter Jackson (The return to splatter that fans have been waiting for!)
-Wes Craven (why the *uck didn't he do a MoH or FI)
-Ken Russell (Just watch Lair of the White Worm)
-Robert Rodrieguez
-Reuniting of Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro (Delicatesson, City of Lost Children, Dante 01, Alien 4)
-Sam Raimi (I think he would jump at the chance. Maybe even a re-uniting with the Coen Brothers.)
-Michael Soavi (He's gotta make atleast one more horror flick before he dies.)
-Richard Stanely (Dust Devil, Hardware, and apparently working on something with Bruce Cambell)
-Paul Vorhoeven (Robocop, Starship Troopers, Total Recall, Basic Instinct)
-Boon Joon-ho (The Host, Mother, Memories of a Murder)
-A return of Takashi Miike (Hands down best MoH)
-Shinya Tsukamoto
-Satoshi Kon or Kenji NAKAMURA (Need atleast one animator)(Watch Nakamura's Goblin Cat, it's *beep* amazing.)
Screenwriters
-Diablo Cody (Again, a person who's bound to have lots of ideas they wanna do.)
-Roy Frumkes (Underated. He wrote Street Trash and the Substitute flicks)
-Karen Walton (she wrote the great script for Ginger Snaps)
-Carlton Mellick III (I would love to see an adaption of his books or have him write one for a specific director. Just look at his book covers and titles to know why.)
-Neil Gaiman
-Garth Ennis
I'm sure I'm missing a lot.
