Cleo (finding out relationship) ~ possible spoilers if u haven't watched

After rewatching the movie I notice when they are at her moms house Louis makes a comment to her boyfriend about being locked up and she gives off a wide eyed look. To me I assumed at that point she perhaps figured out that was her dad (i.e. her moms may have said he was in jail).

But then later in the movie when Floyd confronts her about being her dad she states he couldn't be because whomever her dad is knows and been sending her money. She even goes to state that he perhaps is dead.

Did anyone else question that?

Wondering after rewatching a year (+) later that perhaps there was a deleted scene that would have explained situation better. Even now watching it again... I had to rtn to this page to find an answer.

When Louis and Floyd fight in the hotel in Memphis, Floyd punches Louis in the face and says " You knocked up my wife" and when they are both on the floor in pain, Louis confesses to being Cleo's father, sending her money and not being in her life because he was a "convict dope head, who f's up everything he touches" and then Cleo runs off after learning the truth.
