TIFF Showing
Saw this movie yesterday and cannot stop thinking about it. We need more movies like this that shine light on humanitarian injustices and the politcs behind them. I highly reccomend that you GO SEE THIS MOVIE.
We could also use a movie that shows the mass genocide in East Timor from the Timorese point of view but I'm not expecting that any time soon, maybe not even in my lifetime.
shareThat was my thought by the end too. It seemed a shame that the ensuing 3 decades of the East Timor story (and the 100's of thousands of deaths) was reduced to a few on-screen 'footnotes' once the story of our heroic white interlopers was dealt with.
So yeah, a further film would certainly be welcome!
