I've had to deal with this guy in person, and let me tell you, he's an annoying, immature, petulant little baby. That'd be OK if he was funny, but that's the worst part, he's not.

He doesn't understand that he's being made of fun of in this piece, so he runs around doing unbearably lame standup (well, better than Bobcat Goldthwait, but not by much).

I just had the displeasure of having to watch his act again (business thing), and it really varies on how high he is. In this case he was just completely unfunny and worse, abusive to to the crowd. And not in the "shut down the heckler" sense: the crowd eventually begain to ignore him, so he was screaming at some girls; fortunately the guy at their table shut him down. I thought Doug was going to cry, but he just went back up and squinted his way though the rest of his monotonous material.

Doug Benson is great. Listen to a few episodes of his podcasts.

Listen to Doug Benson's podcast, he is funny every time.

That sucks you have made comedy your "business thing."

I agree. This documentary could have been informative and could have had a purpose had someone else starred in it. I don't smoke anymore but I support legalization. Besides this idiot's terrible comedy, his excitement over 4:20 is just embarrassing. Everyone stops thinking that's cool at around 14, however most of his fanbase probably is 14.

P.S. Unless you already have, don't listen to his podcasts. They are just as bad as his stand-up.

David Koechner - from "Anchorman," "The 40 Year Old Virgin," "Snakes on a Plane," "Thank You for Smoking" and about a thousand other movies

Tom Lennon - writer of both "Night at the Museum" films

David Cross - from "Arrested Development;" co-creator and co-star of "Mr Show with Bob and David."

Anna Kendrick - from "Up in the Air."

Ethan Suplee - the other guy on "My Name is Earl;" "Chasing Amy."

John Lithgow - from "Third Rock from the Sun," "Raising Cain" and "Terms of Endearment."

All of the comedians of comedy:

Zach Galifianakis - star of "The Hangover" and "It's Kind of a Funny Story," as well as one of the best comics in the world.

Maria Bamford - she's an unbelievably good comic. listen to "How to Win" and tell me otherwise.

Patton Oswalt - the voice of Remy in Ratatouille, and was in a whole lot of other stuff, including "Observe and Report," "Big Fan" and "King of Queens."

Brian Posehn - From "Just Shoot Me," "The Sarah Silverman Program" and "The Devil's Rejects."

and that's not even close to all

What? Nobody even mentioned the guests on his podcast, they were just talking about Doug Benson himself.

Put down the joint my man, you might actually say something that isn't stupid.

OP is a tit. Benson is funny and relatively well spoken. Listen to him on Rogan's podcast, as well.

I agree with OP. His look, his jokes, and his zombie-like attitude are such a hard thing to get past in this movie. Other than a few funny jokes he made, I can't believe what passes for comedy in this movie. So pot and saying 420 a lot is funny, right? It just proves how uncreative stoners can be.

I loathe the dude. I think he actually pays people to laugh at his jokes because they suck balls. The lamest stand-up comedian ever.

His face is as annoying as his stand up routine. That says alot!

Pot-humor is so overused. I smoke myself, but I hated this movie and this guy.
