Not one bit of intelligence in the script. What was so great about Ryder's plan?
Ryder's character was not developed properly.. Its hard to feel anything in this movie..
And $100,000,000 budget for this *beep*

shareI disagree in the sense that you're saying it was a "bad movie". It was a "re-telling" of an original. Initially I was really surprised when I heard the 1974 classic HAD been re-made. Then again, lots of movies are. Especially now. Anyway, they obviously had to re-tool it for a more contemporary audience. As a whole...considering it's more of an action flick than the `74 film was, my reaction was fairly positive. With MOST movies, you have to suspend disbelief to some degree. We KNOW this wasn't a true story. We KNOW if this really DID happen in NYC, that it probably wouldn't have a "happy ending". This is entertainment...plain & simple.
