Naturally, in a city with 8 million people and tens of thousands of cops, a 9111 dispatcher is going to know exactly how to locate one specific cop. Not to mention, she would be up to speed on all crises happening each day, as well as the names of the major players.

Oh, please. As soon as the dispatcher lets any cop know about the name Ryder and the Roosevelt Tunner, the cop will know that it's about the hostage situation and will eventually find who's heading the operation, in this case Carmanetti. Seriously, this is your big complaint about the movie's implausibility?

Well, there were a lot things wrong with this movie. :) Denzel's talent shouldn't go to waste like this.
