I accept my idiocy. In my defence though, it's still quite pedantic that it doesn't even give the option of choosing the original.
shareBecause the original is called The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. If you spell it correctly, IMDb takes you right there and does not even bother to show you this one.
shareIMDb's search engine tends to be a bit quirky. The original spelled out the "One Two Three" rather than using numerals so that probably explains why you got routed to the wrong picture. Though I do agree that the search engine should have taken you to a page where you could choose the one you wanted; I myself had forgotten that the title of the original was spelled out in words.
