I saw this film, not realizing there was a sequel in between the 2008 film and the 1992 original.

THis wasn't a bad film, in general, but the timeline was totally messed up. Christy Carlson Romano's character was definitely too old to have been the daughter of the Dorseys, especially since that film ended at the 1992 Olympics and all.

Plus even in skating terms, a move that was "revolutionary" in '92 probably wouldn't be considered as revolutionary today, especially with skaters routinely performing triple & quadruple axles within their skating programs as well today.

Very much doubt it. Anyway it's not physically possible for us mere mortals.

Most likely it's not a real move. The first part of the move where Zack is whipping Alex through the air, is NEVER done in real figure skating competitions. It is done however, in exhibition pieces, which leads me to believe it is probably an illegal move for competitions.
