Apparently, there were not able bring back Matt Lanter who played Zack in Cutting Edge 3. It is sad because both Francia Raisa and Matt Lanter had good chemistry. I hope that they don't make the same mistake with Cutting Edge 2.
Why couldn't they bring him back?!? It's not like he's got anything else to do.

Quick pros:
a) Loved Francia
b) skating really good
c) story good, not great
d) loved Francia
Quick cons:
a) Brendan seemed to be forcing a bit
b) coverage of her prior romance spotty
c) last line, while a great nod, not delivered well.
Bottom line> would I watch it again? Yes.
The skating in the new one was terrible. There were no jumps or really any moves like the sit and spin in the routines at all if I remember correctly and the move at the end could not compare to the others.

shareNothing can beat the original Cutting Edge movie - so please stop making them; I did however love Brendan Fehr w/Francia Raisa - I think they had tons of chemistry - I love Matt a lot and I am looing forward to his new show Star-Crossed; it has to be better than 90210. I'm also a fan of Brendan Fehr since his Roswell days (one of my all time fave shows- my sister bought me the DVD set). But I really do think its time they STOP making sequels upon sequels to Cutting Edge, the original is a cult favorite of all time - STOP THE MADNESS. D.B. Sweeney and Moira Kelly were so fantastic and natural together on camera and the plot was so real unlike some of the remakes.
