Why were they even doubting that they had killed her? Maybe she didn't die from being scared to death but I am pretty sure she was dead after they cut off her head. Why was it even a question? So dumb!

I just watched the movie and I don't think they kept her head. I think what Leslie said what Nikki "kept her head, she was only one that managed to stay calm during the whole thing" or something to that effect. They didn't keep Jena's head. Nikki's kept NIKKI'S head aka stayed calm and came up with the plan to hide Jena's body in the basement and then go bury her when the other pledges were asleep.
