So at the end with the "mother" evil witch was in the hospital are we to assume she really is getting better? Or was there a sinister look on her face? Also, after she is released shouldn't she be going to jail for attempted murder?
shareWOOHOO! I thought I was only one who saw "the look" during the hug...LOL! Also, yes she "should" be going to jail but she'd probably not get anything since her defense would have been "not guilty by reason of insanity" which was MORE that clear *rofl* and they would say she belonged in an asylum and its like "Uh, well, can we send her back since it apparently didn't stick?"

I just watched that scene several times. Her smirk could indeed be interpreted as being evil, but when her daughter turns around and leaves her, she has a definite smile on her face (and not an evil one). I can see that you think her smile was sinister, because that's what you would usually expect from thrillers and horror movies (even though this one doesn't fall into those categories), but especially after seeing her act like a witch for 90 minutes. Her facial expressions were clearly friendly though. This was a definite happy end.
