Stupid Parts

Yes, there are LOTS of stupid parts, but let me point out a few.

Why is it (and this happens in a lot of horror movies) that there is some reason for one of the group to just up and go off by themselves? You're on an island with a murderer loose (and after you) and yet there is always one person by themselves.

The girl taking a nap, upstairs I think. She wakes up and starts looking for her dog. Of course she ends up taking a steam bath. And wouldn't there be a safety switch so no one can get "locked inside" the hot tub thing?

The group heard some singing or voices in the distance and the one guy decides to just strike out and promptly gets his foot caught in the animal trap. Then when he is taken back inside, Megan decides that he's better off upstairs- BY HIMSELF OF COURSE!

Naturally a little while later he "vanishes" and the group is mystified. Then the one guy starts to strike out looking for his brother. Once again a member of the group wants to just take off.

Then, Megan decides she is innocent and figures she's better off by herself. So she heads back to the house and everyone else is just find and dandy with that! First of all, why girl, on an island with a killer(s) would dare decide to break off the group (stupid as they are yes) and go by herself somewhere?

One other part is when the guy gets bit by the snake. Even with a rattlesnake you wouldn't die that quick. This guy dies in a matter of a minute or less.
And I swear it looks like the other guy standing over him is laughing! Watch the scene and see if you agree. I know he is supposed to be delirious but he looks like he's laughing about the whole scene.

I'm guessing that people who write movies assume that when humans are in danger they will do the dumbest things possible. I am glad I am not the only one who noticed the guy looked like he was laughing during that scene! I was cracking up at his facial expression lol
