Some important questions

1. Why did those guys not just tell the police when Regina died? They didn't do anything wrong. I understand that they were scared, but still... didn't they think they would only get more trouble this way since many people saw her on the party?

2. How did Megan know that Regina was with them and overall what happened? Ok, Regina could have told her where she was going, but wouldn't then the first step be to inform the authorities and have them search for her? And how could she possibly have known about anyone's involvement other then perhaps the guys who invited her, and even that would be hard to pin on them. She also knows where the body is buried and tons of other details she couldn't possibly know, it just makes no sense.

Is it through Keith? He might have seen Regina get buried, but it didn't seem like he would be at the party so how could he have known about anyone else's involvement. Speaking of which...

3. What exactly are all the other people punished for? Getting a glimpse of a girl having sex with their friend? Is that something bad? Other then Jenna, the other guy and girl barely even did that.

Or if they were punished for not informing the authorities when everyone searched for Regina, then the question is...

4. If everyone saw Regina at the party and the other day she was missing, wouldn't they be suspicious? It seemed like everyone was very familiar with the case, but totally surprised when they heard the actual story. And this leads to even bigger question..

5. How did the cops not have all the bodies correctly identified by then? Especially Reginas sister who was all over news and who was instantly recognized by Jenna's parents.

6. Was Megan then supposed to be 15 or not, because the actress could definitely not pass for 15. How did the guys who accidentally killed Regina not watch the news and know what she looked like in the first place. And why was everyone so chill about a mysterious girl being in their boat and joining them.

Ok that is already a lot, main question for me is still how the hell did Megan know whom to blame and all the other details in the first place, and if she knew it all so well, then what did she blame most of the people there for anyway.

Extra question:

That snake could easily not have killed the guy. He was opening cupboards and ran into the apartment alone, but that was unpredictable. What if they were smart and stuck together with some weapons. What would Megan and Keith do then. And why let Megan go alone in the first place anyway...

I also wonder what happened to the dog, but I guess that remains a mystery.

1. They would get in trouble for getting her drunk, "raping" her, video taping it, and then having her die. It's too suspicious and it wouldn't end up well. Besides they were scared, didn't know what to do, and were most likely hungover. Also, I believe she was underage, ergo the drinking and sex would be illegal.

Why have you got raping in quotation marks? They did rape her.

reply

They didn't rape her, she was willingly having sex with them.

2. If you watch it again, it shows both of them there watching it go down.

1. I get that they freaked out, but still, I doubt they would have severe consequences if they reported what happened. How do you get someone drunk? It was not rape either, it was consensual. Her being underage would get them into trouble I guess, depending on where they live.

2. If you watch it again, it shows both of them there watching it go down.

Both Megan and Keith were at the party? Why didn't they say something to the cops when they searched for Regina. All they needed to do was show where she was buried or try to get the witnesses to remember seeing her.

Thank you for replying btw, I know it's just a movie, but it's fun sometimes to try and figure out how it could work in reality. It didn't ruin it for me, but you know...

3. I think it was all part of her ploy. They were pawns in her game. She couldn't have any witnesses so she probably had to kill them. Also, after knowing her sister died, she probably started losing touch with reality and began going insane.

reply

4. That's a good point but there can be many explanations for that. 1. They were all most likely drunk. 2. Not everyone knew Regina nor did they care about her. They showed her as being an outcast. 3. Not everyone at the party may have seen her or recognized her.

5. That one also confused me. I think one reason is that they had little information on the kids (none of them brought cell phones, computers, and I doubt wallets) and as much as I know about forensics and police investigation, it takes time for them to analyze DNA and such.

reply

6. I'm pretty sure she was 15 in the movie whether or not the actress was older. One of the guys was 30 in real life too. And Keith said someone snuck on the boat and the group was unaware of her presence.

Extras. The dog is a mystery, yes. But all your other extra questions are simple answers. It's just a movie; it's not supposed to be realistic. It's good old horror movie cliches, character stupidity and the simplicity of film.

I'm glad I could answe your questions :) please ask if you have more and ill get back to you.
