Random stranger on the boat

Okay, so why didn't everyone freak out when a random stranger shows up? I don't know how much of what was shown actually happened due to the lies but when Megan is found no one questions her about who she is or why she was on their boat or even how old she is. I know that if I were in that situation my friends and I definetly wouldn't act like it was no big deal.

A more basic question is what possessed those teenagers - especially the two brothers - to go to the island for fun in the first place. Something went terribly wrong when they were there the last time and one girl ended up dead, and the brothers even knew that her body was buried there. If you were one of those teenagers, would you ever want to set foot on that island again?

I also agree that an unknown stowaway would definitely have caused suspicion. For the viewers that is a definite giveaway. I know that Megan was somehow involved though I did not expect the two girls to switch identities. The teenagers were obviously not very smart in not suspecting Megan immediately. The last time they were there, Regina crashed their party (and so in that sense was also a “stowaway”) and ended up dead. This time, another stranger hid in their boat for no apparent reason other than wanting to join them for fun. So shouldn’t that sound the alarm immediately?

This movie was just poorly put together period...

Everything that happened in the film was a story. It could be that the 'stowaway' part of the story was all false, and maybe she was actually there with Keith, with the groups knowledge the whole time.
