A bit too pushy for Turkey

There are a number of strong reasons why Turkey has been denied membership of the EU. Michael here uses his show on Bulgaria/Turkey to ignore them completely (freedom of speech, use of torture, human rights abuses, role of the military, etc) to suggest the onus is on "Old Europe" to lower its standards to welcome what would be the largest country in terms of size and population.
