Great topic, totally botched.

The feeling of alienation in an isolated situation when something goes wrong is quite terrible.
Anna, from the first scene, is set up as an outsider. From here it could really have made a good film but it wandered backwards and backwards with the director thinking that long silences and shots of Anna alone would be creative.
Not so. We then have then the family having one gigantic shootout before becoming a family again...as families do....with Anna even more on the outside and returning??? to the place of torture when she escapes.
The whole thing is uncomfortable with little genuine empathy for anyone in this ghastly mess.
