Intentionally funny or not?

I read a few reviews and some of them said that it was intentionally funny.

There are some intentionally funny bits in Argento's last films...PHANTOM OF THE OPERA,DO YOU LIKE HITCHCOCK?,JENIFER,PELTS and MOTHER OF TEARS...also some clumsy, unintentionally funny bits...i haven't seen GIALLO yet but i guess that this film follows the same path, with some grotesque, funny bits on purpose, and others bits more clumsily handled.

Thanks. I'll probably buy it anyway cuz I'm a Dario Argento fanbitch.

What other director can take his main oscar winning star, place him in a scene where he is sucking on a pacifier and masturbating to gore! Hilarious, shocking, embarassing- only Argento.

Argento seemed to be mocking a segment of the horror audience in this scene or making a comment about the pleasures of torture. Yellow also appears to looking at a collection of magazines with porn cartoons, many real-life serial killers are sexually motivated.

I think that this scene with the dummy was meant to be funny/grotesque,also the bit when Yellow is pissing made me smile!
Overall i had no problem with the way the killer was shown.

I do not think there was much in this film that was intentionally funny, either. Just a couple very minor things--like the "Jesus Christ" comment after Enzo is told that the Mother Superior found the body.

I also do not think there was much in the film that was unintentionally funny. It's weird, bizarre to the point of absurdism sometimes, but it's an Argento film. That's typical for him. I think people finding that stuff funny are just reacting to things that can be very unusual.
