I don't know all the details of his case, but why does it look to me like he's shooting his own career in the foot? Will this encourage other producers to want to work with him? I'm not saying actors don't deserve to be treated fairly, but he filmed a movie and then sued to prevent it from being distributed. By doing that, he is preventing the film from making money AND from being successful. If I was a producer, I wouldn't be encouraged to hire him.

Then, we know he has stooped to doing beer commercials, likely because he is hard up for cash, perhaps because they stiffed him for half his paycheck on this movie?

Yes, the film would make money with it's release, but when was he going to see any of it? That's why he had to do we he had to do and take legal action to protect himself and his interest in it. he got screwed.

I'm not sure what you mean by "stooped" to doing a Stella Artois beer commercial. Most recently Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jodie Foster have all done large scale foreign advertising campaigns.

Lots of famous A list actors do foreign ads. Thats the key word. FOREIGN. Europe. Asia. I just about fell off my chair when they started showing his beer commercial here in America. No one does them here. Why? I'm not really certain, but I can only guess that it lowers their image with the American public. So yes, I would say stooped.
