People who award 10/10 for this...

...make me scratch my head in confusion. How is this happening? Do you think that the producers are voting using alt. accounts?

reply

Only when pleasure has been reduced to a system of numbers...

reply

It's clearly not a 10/10 film so just what is happening??Awarding Giallo a 10 is like slapping every other single Argento film square in the chops.Take a look:http://www.wisevid.com/gate-way?v=5t_vA5gu6t-cArgento himself has disowned this movie, that says something surely...Also, how can the producers be allowed to claim via the film credits, that Argento wrote it?

What seems odd, is that on the credits, I only noticed Argento's name as a writer.

Weird...

For some people this may be their favorite Argento film

Every Argento film seems to get shredded for some reason...

reply

Zarch, have you watched it yet? If not, there's a link earlier in the thread where you view the entire film. Personally I think that there's plenty of reasons to 'shred' this movie.

Edit: Saw a post elsewhere. You have seen it.

reply

As for MoT, that's at least a dozen times better than Giallo. Easily.

reply

Somewhere under all the mess that is MoT there is a good film struggling to get out.

reply

I wish that I could say the same for Giallo.

reply

I give a 6-6,5/10 to GIALLO.
It's minor Argento, but it's pretty entertaining and watchable!
I liked Brody, the score and some scenes are pretty good.
Better IMO than "Phantom of the Opera" and "Sleepless".

If you do not already understand that people can have very different tastes, it would probably be impossible to explain it to you.

I just now saw this on The Movie Channel. I have to go along with the OP here...I must've seen a different movie than the 10/10 folks saw as well. Because the "Giallo" I saw with Adrian Brody looking like he just wanted to be paid so he could run away from the set and never return was excruciating. Truly, to each their own.

Signatures annoy me.

reply

Ive seen all Argento's films except 4 flies, door and 5 days, and Id give Giallo my vote and would rate 10/10 if I reviewed it. 2000-2009 was Argento's best decade and Elsa Pataky is really good in this. Get the regionfree BR.

no need, there are enough people making fun on our account - bottom line this film got what it deserve like most of the films!

reply

These tens are invariably given by people who worked on the film.
