Just DVD? Not blu-ray?

Does anyone know for sure weather or not Open Season 2 is going to be released on blu-ray?

I'm aware that being high-def would increase production costs (render time plus animation and graphics must stand up to more scrutiny), but given that Sony invented blu-ray and are keen to push it I'd have thought they'd do it for sure...

So, anyone know?

Well this sequel is going to be a direct-to-DVD and I haven't seen too many sequels on Blu-Ray yet so it's possible they'll put it on Blu-Ray too if necessary.

It's going to be on both Blu-Ray and DVD.

Disaster Movie is a piece of sh*t! But you already knew that....right?

reply

Yeah. It's coming out December 10 on DVD and Blu-Ray here in Australia. Just found out about the sequel, can't say I'm dying to see it, I'm interested. Love the first one.

That is all.

reply

Yeah! The DVD is now available in Singapore. Original copy, of course.

Any Aussies out there: the DVD has been released here in Australia, along with the Blu-Ray version. Sony have also release a double-pack DVD for the kids featuring both movies priced at about $30AUD, along with the first at no more expensive than $35AUD and the sequel no more than $40AUD (prices vary from store to store). I look forward to finally getting both on Blu-Ray, which reminds me: why no double-Blu-Ray-pack? You can do it for DVD, but not Blu-Ray? HUMPH!

That is all.

reply

My apologies, those are the Blu-Ray prices I wrote down. The DVDs themselves shouldn't be more than $30AUD.

That is all.

Just rented the Blu-ray last weekend. Looks gorgeous on HD (Just like EVERY CGI movie I've seen), sounds good as well and includes the same supplements included on the DVD as far as I know.
Anyway the HD treatment doesn't improves the movie, it is still dull and unfunny. Not even my children were captivated by it.
