Why is it called Mulligans?


Somebody please explain me this! Who the hell is Mulligan?

A "Mulligan" is what happens in a game when a player gets a second chance to perform a certain move or action. The practice is also sometimes referred to as a "do-over." In the instance of Golf (which is a recurrent theme in the film), it may pertain to a shot that is retaken due to a previous errant one. In the context of the film, I guess it refers to Nathan being given a second chance in life after the consequences of his homosexuality being discovered and revealed to his family because of Chase.

It's just I saw it with poor translation, and the title was translated like the family name. Now with your explanation it makes sense.
