Top drawer drama

This is less intricate and complex then other political dramas on the BBC recently such as the State Within and the Last Enemy but it is all the better for it. The pace of the drama makes this compulsive viewing without ever patronising or going over the viewers' head.

The cast is to dream for particularly Marc Warren and Bradley Whitford who are cut from the same cloth but are on opposing sides. Whitford must be enjoying getting his teeth into playing a slippery amoral operator after all that tedious do-gooding on the West Wing. Keeping with the West Wing comparison the characters don't waste time standing around explaining the issues for half the programme and gets on with the plot, thanks to the excellent writing.

I can't say how accurate the science is but it is watchable than Al Gore's Powerpoint presentation.

Neve Campbell is still looking very gloomy however and feel like giving a big happy hug, especially after taking part in this terrific piece of work.

I agree. I don't like a lot of these one-off dramas just because they seem to cheesy and over-the-top. There's a constant stream of natural disaster ones, including the recent Flood. Not bad, didn't grab me much.

This, for some reason, grabbed and wouldn't let go. I thought it was fantastic throughout, incredibly gripping.
