Absolutely terrible, terrible fake plastic cannibis plants, growing all over the house in low light conditions. Zero realism. No effort went into having the grow op seem realistic which is more than strange considering the whole movie is based around it. Just...dont bother.

yes, the only reason i wanted to watch this movie was to see marijuana plants...i was so disappointed at their fakeness that I turned the dvd off and went ranting about it on the internet....
i dont think the movie was meant to center solely on the realism of the plants...it was meant to be viewed a bit more deeply than that....
do you react the same way to fake breasts? or cgi special effects...because that's fake too...
This movie was real bad and predictable. I mean you could tell her parents were cops at the dinner before they ate the dessert.
They may have their fancy cannabis terminology, but before that, the number one rule is always ALWAYS don't let anybody know about your grow op. His parents are running a grow op and to break that golden rule just makes this movie unreal.
Good try though.
I mean I could care less if they use fake plants...its obviously shot on a budget but its unrealistic to have them around the house and whatnot
shareThat's not a good enough reason to dislike a movie. I mean, think about it, what if they were meant to be fake plants. Obviously his parents really LOVE cannibis, maybe they bought fake plastic plants to decorate their house with because they like the look. I'm not saying that is what the case was, I'm just saying, that's a dumb reason to not like a movie.

If you're going to complain about something being unrealistic, why not go with the plot? Like, if the girlfriends parents are cops, why did they eat the dessert the dad brought over? They had to know there was at least a possibility that it contained weed; especially after they ate it and started feeling different. The female even went back for seconds.
And the chick, not only did she compromise herself and the investigation by falling in love with the main character, but she also smoked it with one of the targets.
Those are legitimate criticisms, not the fake looking plants.
