Great Movie, Surprise Ending, But...(Spoilers)

*beep* garbage he gave up his parents, and id personally of slapped the B*tch claiming she cared about him.

But all in all great movie, sad by how obviously fake the plants were, didnt even look like they tried make them look real.

reply

They were the same plants used in the Trailer Park Boys show.
If you think about the ending, it begins to make sense why he did it. His parents could take care of themselves, and wanted him to not go to jail, and he would have if he didn't. As far as the chick is concerned, they should have written her into the very end, because the last 2 minutes were a little forced.

i actually like the whole part tat he forgave her and he had to give up his parents

Im Confused about the ending, So did his parents want him to "rat them out"kf so why was his dad so pissed off when they were face to face in the jail with the glass-and what did the dad have written on his hand?

reply

O nvm about his hand, i posted before i even saw the way end.

reply

Dad wasn't pissed off; it was all for show, and enabled him to show Quinn the map on his hand to show him where the money and seeds were.

reply

hey, at least she drank dog poo LOL.
i was so disgusted by that scene... but in the end it made all sense^^

reply

It was actually bat poo. She got what she deserved though

reply

lmao ewwww is that what it was. I though it was some seed mix or something.Gross.

reply

Yeah, Quinn was annoying as hell. I get the irony of the 'grass is greener' story, but the kid was ungrateful for everything his parents did for him. The dad was far and away carrying the movie, without him it would have just been a standard movie, but with him it's a notch above most weed comedies.

PS: Some of the plants looked real, but yeah, most the time they were just funny looking...

I thought it was unrealistic that this 24-25 year old grad student who went undercover would all of a sudden want to quit her job and drop out of grad school because she fell in love with an 18-year-old kid.

All in all, I liked the movie, it was enjoyable. Not slow at all.

I kind of had an issue with this as well because she could of finished her degree and went into another type of law enforcement and capture real criminals not just hippies growing pot.

She didn't quit and drop out because she fell in love with him. I'm pretty sure things didn't work out and they never got together. She quit because the experience showed her that the work wasn't for her. She can't turn her emotions on and off.

How exactly did he "give his parents up"? All he did was point out his parents seated in the courtroom.

reply

He didn't do it because he was selfish, or thinking about his self, his dad pretty much told him to do it. When he was refusing to do it his dad got upset and yelled at him because the dad didn't want him to do it. The mom even looked at him lovingly saying she loved him while he did it. Earlier in the film the parents both agreed that their children was more important then their business and freedom.

I agree about the girl that set him up. I wouldn't want anything to do with her because she couldn't be trusted. Even if she did in fact feel bad later and cared about him she still did a really messed up thing.

I liked it until the girl turned out to be a rat. That pissed me off. With chill parents like that he chose some random girl he met on the spot, weak
