Would be much better with some focus.

For a show that has only 15 episodes and an absurd amount of characters to do justice to, it's INSANE how unfocused it is. For example, what the hell is with the constant attention on Phillipe and Hermie (who, by the way, aren't nearly as funny as the show thinks they are)? Half the time, their actions have no effect on the main plot! Then there's Carol, who might as well have parachuted into the middle of a scene for all the context her entrance had, and whose BS storyline is just an annoying distraction from the better stuff going on. Then she finally leaves, only to come back a few episodes later for more stupid timekilling. Related to her, Steamboat Jeffries and Tre Barnes -- they have a LOT of scenes together, but each one is spent SAYING THE SAME DAMN THING. On top of that, Ed Asner's character comes in for like, two, three episodes, completely out of the blue, and then just disappears. It's a total waste of time, all of it. In fact, looking over the list of characters, I'm realizing 75% of them have way more screen time than they warrant or deserve (Lucie's annoying boss especially).

The show would be much improved if it kept the focus on Max and Donny and everyone connected to THEM. Carlos is good too, but he needed to be connected to Max and Donny a lot faster than he was. Their story is what's important here, but too much time is spent with everyone else and it doesn't add anything.
