Monster Origins??? (spoilers)

OK, The ending of Feast 3 has me confused! The original Feast 1 movie trailer stated that the Monsters were a government weapons project that was being tested on a remote town. This is very different from the Robot-beings from outerspace sending the monsters in to clean up the planet before their arrival. To be honest I like the original idea better, more beleivable. The monster are very human-like, obviously breed for the purpose of 'quickly killing' and spreading like a virus.
Did anyone notice that they were similar to the "Beserkers" in Clive Barkers Nightbreed, basically monsters created by the Nazis to be unleashed onto the battlefield to destroy the enemy only to be discovered that they were indescriminate in their killing and forever 'locked up'. They even had the monster-cocks. Hah!
Sooooo, which story do you all like better? Should they have stayed with the original idea or did you all like the whole robot thing? I personally like the original idea, would have made for a much more interesting story for the sequels to follow. The Gullaghers should not be allowed to make any more monster movies. How they could do such a great job on the first one and fail miserably on the 2 followups shows that these folks literally blew there load on the first one and should have just stayed in bed...

The original idea was never presented in the first movie. Must've been in the commentary or other DVD features. They should have left it at one film and called it good. No real explanation for the monsters. They don't need an explanation for the monsters. The sequels didn't explain squat and the robot ending was about as idiotic and nonsensical as you can get. Screw the Gullaghers. It's like they're trying to destroy anything good from the first movie.

It was hinted at when friedlander went on his rant and it was 'clearly' stated in the original trailer. Its even on the Feast one trailer include on the Feast 3 disk. They just changed their mind on how they wanted to explain it. Either way you're right, they completely blew it. COuld have been so much more creative. They just opted for shock vaule over coherence...

Feast 1 has like wes Craven, affleck etc watching over it.

Im sure without their involvement andvthe director just running free caused the sequels to suck
