American and loved it

Just you know for the record. I thought it was fantastic and enjoyable. Sublime. No real complaints about this film except that tracking down the music was a pain in the rear.

Anyone that gives the film a hard time for being too Canadian or just a love letter to the Canadian wilderness and country and beauty...well...isn't that the point? What's wrong with a guy making a film that captures the beauty of his country? I know plenty of Americans who've done the same. And every other filmmaker out there too.

I guess what I'm saying is, you're allowed to do this, so I don't understand the hate for it.

Me too! Other than the overuse of a narrator. I think Joshua Jackson was really great and the scenery is lovely. The narrator was pretty intrusive. I prefer limited use like 500 Days of Summer.
