So I was thinking about buying the soundtrack:

1. Is it any good?

2. How many of the songs are musical songs from the play Hamlet 2, and how many are just more background songs for the movie?

I thought it was alright. I recall being especially pleased when the end credits rolled and "Look of Love Pt. 1" by ABC started playing.

i meant more along the lines of the actual soundtrack. like the cd.

I bought the soundtrack and was extremely pleased with it. It has, literally, every song you even remotely hear in the film. It's very comprehensive. I purchase it on emusic, but I believe it's also available on iTunes (I don't think there's a physical copy available).

They have the "someone saved my life tonight" version they sang in they play, it is awesome. I only downloaded that one song because I loved it so much in the movie. I like it a lot.
