TOUNGE RAPE AT THE END???

I love this movie...

But for some reason I can not stand the over exaggerated tongue kiss that coogan and shue share in the closing scene in new york.

WTF is that about? Random and stupid.

Anyone else feel the same way?

reply

LOL.

Out of all the things in the movie you point that out, really.

reply

you better believe i did!

reply

Agreed with OP...it was overkill and not funny. It was a disappointing ending moment in an otheriwse great movie.

"You're wondering what's a place like me doing in a girl like this."

reply

I would love for Mrs. Shue to tounge rape me.

reply

Talk about raped in the face...

reply

haha good call nato

Always had a huge crush on Elizabeth Shue, so I get the character's worship.

Hard to believe she's 50. She looks amazing!

reply

I think it may refer to a line that Steve Coogan said earlier in the film about being "raped...in the face!"

reply

This scene comes from the student q&a where the students asks what elizabeth misses most about the movies. She replies that it is the kissing scenes. So it is ironic at the end when she does kiss that it is a pathetic kiss and not what we expect from her.

reply

It was cool

reply

So let me get this straight... The Mouth-Rape song, Rock me Sexy Jesus, and virtually all of the other parts of this film *don't* strike you as over-exaggerated and random?

Everyone who ever loved you was wrong.
