'Factual Error'

It says "In Hamlet 2, the play within the movie, Hamlet forgives his father, but Hamlet has nothing for which to forgive his father in Shakespeare's play. If there's anyone Hamlet could forgive it's his father's murderers, Hamlet's mother and uncle. However, even though this could be a mistake on the Dana Marschz's part, he does prove himself knowledgeable of Hamlet, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to write a sequell.

In Mr. M's mind, all fathers are abusive. They mention that Hamlet suffered abuse at the hands of his father in HIS interpretation, because he's obsessed with his own unresolved issues. This is part of the joke, not ignorance of the source material.

I agree, I think Dana knew what he was doing. This is one of my favorite movies, I think his character has such depth, I even get a little teary eyed when he finds out his wife is having a baby "I will never not hug this baby" or something like that. A lot of it I get emotional. He is too good.
