Messiah complex?

Is it just me, or does this guy seem to wield a serious messiah complex. All the while, monetizing his own idea to the point that the only people who can afford it are people who don't have to worry about money in the first place. My girlfriend and I were giving serious thought to an Earthship home until we discovered these things.

You have brought up two separate topics in the same thread.

Your first topic is does he have a messiah complex. Wikipedia says that a messiah complex "is a state of mind in which an individual holds a belief that they are, or are destined to become, a savior". There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people around the world who save others on a regular basis. This movie shows twice that Reynolds has gone to different places and built homes for people who would have been otherwise homeless. It is possible they would have been harmed and possibly even have died without his help. So yes, it's quite possible that he has saved lives.

Your second topic is cost of being a part of one of his projects or a project similar to his. You decided not to offer up any costs involved, so that makes it tougher to discuss the issue you have brought up. Many people shown in the film have had success with his endeavours, so I'm wondering perhaps you could benefit from some money management books or classes?
