are you kidding? ::Spoilers::

I really wanted to like this movie, believe me i did. but after watching it for about ten minutes i feared that i would be forced to relegate from a good movie, to a good-bad movie. one with an admirable attempt at a plot but marred by poor acting and even poorer graphics. but as i pursued the movie further, progressing deeper and deeper into a continuously degrading plot which seemed to be swiss cheesed with plot holes the size of the grand canyon, i was dumbfounded that a movie like this could actually be released. People take the fact that it's "straight to dvd" as a sign. With graphics that lacked any kind of standard, sometimes looking like throwbacks from 1999 cartoons and other times finding it hard to differentiate between real and fake, actors that made me wish it was an animated movie (perhaps the only persuasive jobs going to the greek guy, the chinese guy, and even the evil chick did fair), and plot with complete disregard for what had occured in the storyline before it. The monsters looked like they were from old sci-fi movies, you know, when their too superimposed and move just a little to jerkily and fast to be natural, the props looked like a combination of finger paints and fisher price plastic, and finishing my rant, they couldn't even bother to double check their work, topping off the other faults rather nicely with an annoying view of the evil goddess' dress bunching around cart that she was pulled around on to make it look as though she was floating, this being in her last appearance just before she turns to Mathayus.

so taking it all into account, the graphics, the acting, the props, the budgetness of all three. i have to say that i can't grant it my original ambition of wanting to like it. i have to say that i loved it. it really was good, all that bad came together to form a movie that drew me in to a point were all the faults were ignored and only the story and those in it remained.

my last related comment goes to the makers though, if you are going to rely on so many visual effects make them quality ones.

sorry for the flip flop but it really was a poorly made movie but i do like it a lot.

I think that was the worst review of all time about one of the worst movies of all time. Your "surprise ending" of a positive review came off less as a surprise and more like schizophrenia. Bad movie, worse review, end of story.

Holy *beep* Now the reviewers are being reviewed as well.

Bizarro world!

It was an overall a bad movie, the fights and effects were awful and the story the same old cliché, but it doesn't make you disgusted entirely with the movie, it's a "I have seen worst" situation.

I gave it a 3/10, I'd have given it a 2/10 but I liked watching Randy Couture in it, even tho his part is small and very bidimensional.

The OP kinda reflects my thoughts on the movie in a backwards perspective as well. Despite so many flaws being easily recognizable, the film still had a likable quality regardless of how tight the budget was.
