How do movies such as this one get green-lit?

I have seen studio execs say 1 out of 2500 scripts is ever green-lit, implying they are very selective. But they they make this crap? Who wrote this script, my 5-year old son? I guess eye-rolling was commonplace in 4000 BC, calling people jerks, speaking with American accents, using 21st century slang, etc. <sigh>.. And right after they show the Black Scorpions training for 6 years, never seeing anyone outside the compound, announcing that they are the best warriors in history, etc. etc. etc. an untrained boy (his younger brother), and then a 98-pound girl get the best of an entire brigade of Black Scorpions? I could have written a better script while eating my corn flakes....

I did write a better script while eating my cornflakes. Unfortunately i spilt milk on it and the studios had to go with this one.

It's politics at the studio - all about WHO you know and what kind of DEAL you can make. If all the guys in line make some $$$ they don't care what the product is.

Dogs vs. Cats vs. G-Force is probably in production right now.

The exec who green-lit this piece of crap should be burned at the stake. And the writer ? my god ! what a disgrace !
