Somehow, at great personal cost, I made it through the first half hour.

You're just a graphics/CGI generation troll. "If it doesn't look like Transformers, I don't want to watch it" .

The CGI wasn't meant to be good. Movies aren't supposed to be super flashy. The Super-Flashy is supposed to be the bonus. This movie was made to tell of a story about how a legend came to be in the first place. It's a prequel. It tells you of his tribulations, and that vengeance can carry a man to the depths of darkness itself to seek retribution.

It told of a story of a young girl who longed to be an adventurous warrioress, but didn't get the opportunity because she was a girl (Which happened nearly every time back then). And when she was old enough, saw the opportunity to stay close to the one man who, at a young age, saved her life by challenging the General's decision to arrest her (which she probably would have been beaten and put to death or sold to slavery). To return the favor, she joins in on his quest. Remember, love can take a woman to journeys far beyond, the same as how vengeance can bring a man to journeys far beyond.


Though of course, you'd have to be insightful and look past the obvious bad quality of the battles. To put it in perspective, ONE supercomputer can run up to over 40,000 dollars, and you need a bunch to run high-quality CGI. And with a budget of ... what did this film have.. 5 million or something? Anyway, with a low budget like that, you have to make sacrifices, but as long as your story gets told, the movie is a success in your eyes.

I am finding it difficult to get past the 15 min mark.
