Significance of this scene?

Hello everyone, I have just finished watching little ashes and noticed that in one of the last scenes when there is a flash back memory of Dali and Garcia Lorca in the water that the first time around they both have underpants and in the memory one they are both naked.

I am curious to hear if anyone has any thoughts as to the significance of this.

Perhaps Dali wishes he had made love to Lorca so that is the memory he recalls. Or maybe we just didn't see when they were naked.
