What's with the blue scar-ish thing under her eye?

I never watched OC... does she always have that? Or was it part of the movie that I just missed?

That's what I wanted to know,I kept waiting for them to explain it,but they never did,I guess it is real, she just covered it with makeup in real life.

*SPOILERS*

I thought she might've been the little girl in the beginning of the film...maybe somehow scarred herself escaping from that trap, hence a "repressed" memory...but I guessed wrong.

I presumed that the scar under Mischa Barton's left eye is real. I give thanks that the injury resulted only in a small scar, and didn't affect her eye.

Remember in this movie Mischa Barton plays the role of a somewhat tough girl, working professional engineer. In real life such women typicaly dispense with the makeup and coiffures and fancy clothes, all of which makes sense in their semi-outdoor professions. Hence, Mischa Barton had to play a believable role, which she pulled off. She still looked pretty enough, but without the typical makeup job inherent in more glamorous roles, like The OC, for example, the scar will show. In actuality, the visibility of the scar helps her semi-outdoor, independant, tough, explosives engineer working girl image and persona. Such an outdoors type individual would naturally get into more scrapes resulting in scars.

......K did anybody think HEY maybe there was no scar on the OC because it was filmed a few years ago. Maybe she hurt herself around the time of filming?

reply

I also think it was just due to a 'real life injury'. I'm well aware that you could cover it with make up but to be honest all the recent pictures we get of Mischa are not exactly flattering. On more then one photo you could see her without make up. She never has that scar there, so I guess it was just an injury.
