Tron 3 coming with Jared Leto?
I have been wanting a new Tron film since the release of Legacy. We should have gotten it already and I was heartbroken when word came out a few years ago that Tron 3 was being canceled.
Well in March word came out that a new Tron film might be on the way, this time with Jared Leto:
Disney is considering booting The Grid back up. That’s the word from The Hollywood Reporter, which broke the news that the company was considering resurrecting the franchise for another outing, with Suicide Squad star Jared Leto eyed for the lead role. This is at a very early stage, THR cautions. No writers or directors have been attached, although Tron: Legacy’s producer, Justin Springer, will reportedly produce the film along with Leto (if he ends up starring in the film).

I have mixed emotions, as it sounds like this is not going to be a true sequel to Legacy, but I'm happy to hear that we might get something--anything--set in the Tron world. If they're going to do it though, they need to get cracking. It's been nearly seven years already.
