What was the point?

Really. There was no resolution. Was it just to see life as a call girl for an hour? And what was the point of the last scene?

In the film there are some abstract paintings.
The movie is mot much different.
There is no "message". It's not going anywhere.
You are supposed to feel it.
And it does give you this feeling, if you let it.
But it's an experience that not everyone cares for.

The last scene means "business as usual".
Her job is to give comfort to people who won't find it anywhere else.
We don't know if it happened before or after her own trauma,
but it doesn't matter. This is what she does.
And there was no one there for here, when she was in need.

Rich or poor, hypocrites or not, we are all humans.
That's all. But we don't always remember that.

imo: every or almost every communication is some kind of trade. the men dont just buy her for sex. they buy her to get rid of their emotions. and she sells herself but, at least i thought so, enjoys their stories and feelings. her boyfriend doesnt sell sex, but he sells his empathy as well. there is no big difference between them. i really liked the movie and i think sasha grey was very good.

It was an interesting movie/project, was a bit surprised to see so much vitriol towards it. An Grey was pretty good I thought...
