That's a good idea. But today's TV shows flash crew credits so fast it's almost impossible to see.
Besides, the Producer or Unit Publicity folks should be doing that, so someone is falling down on the job.
Not only are the Unit Still Photographer's credits missing but so were many of the actors in Tuesday's Premiere episode. Only the leads were listed, not the day players. Since I'm also an actor I'd find that irritating if it happened to me. (Actually it did. I was on the set of ABC's "October Road" for 3 months when season one shot in Atlanta, yet I'm not credited on IMDB. But Uncle Walt's checks cleared, thank you very much.)
Actually it's quite difficult for an individual actor or crew member to add their name to an IMDB production listing.
I know because I've tried.
For example, I worked for Disney/ABC on the first season of "October Road" when it was shot here in Atlanta from Halloween to Christmas 2006. I played five different characters on the show! I have the daily work sheets and copies of Disney's paychecks to prove my case yet IMDB won't add me to the cast listing. :-(
Well, you are right in that I was hired (and paid) as an extra on "October Road". But on the other hand, the director often gave me specific direction to do this, walk there, etc. I did not simply mill around in the background.
Because of that I actually should have been listed (and paid) as "Background Player" or "Featured Extra", not simply "Extra".
Oh well, it was two years ago and a stepping stone to where I'm now a "Featured Actor" with dialog and all.
Good luck to you Terry I hope you get some respect because you sound like a good hardworking regular guy that seems to be forgotten. I wish you good luck in the future. People seem to forget that not everyone in the entertainment industry makes millions of dollars and can buy huge houses in France & private jets & forget to wear underwear & make money doing it.
