Why is it a terrible show?

Seriously, I don't know why everyone is posting about how terrible a show it is. First of all, there has only been one episode aired so far. Second, I thought it was a pretty cool concept. I liked the pilot and am hoping for more episodes.

Yeah,I didn't think it was spectacular, but it certinly wasn't *terrible.* It has potential & I think it will get better as the overall episode-spanning story arc is revealed.

A&E can't produce fictional show.

The reason "everyone" is saying this show is terrible is because it is.

Why can Showtime and USA make amazing original shows but not A&E?

As for every show, some people will like it, some will hate it, whatever... thankfully not all people or even a huge number of people have to like a show for it to keep existing or all we'd have on TV is CSI and Grey's Anatomy!

A&E's "Mad Men" was just nominated for an Emmy. Seems like SOMEONE thinks A&E can make a 'amazing original show'.

Also, I thought the show was pretty good. It was a pilot and showed it - had to explain a few things and develop quite a few character relationships, but it had redeeming qualities, too. One being that Benjamin Bratt is HOT and another is that it is not like anything else that's on right now.

A&E did not make Mad Men, AMC did. AMC can make amazing shows as they also made "Breaking Bad'. I think A&E is trying to capitalize off of AMC's success.

Maybe for some people is terrible because they can't accept the fact that this is so close to reality .. usually people like that but for some that still live in a "dream" world omg can't accept it .. well .. see another show no one forces you to like this one but there are lots of people out there that like this one and want to see it's potential before throwing judging words to it.

You can't judge a show based on one episode. You have to give it time to set up the storyline. I thought it was a good pilot and I can't wait for the next episode, which looks really good IMO.

Lost first episode = BRILLIANT

Dexter first episode = BRILLIANT

Heroes first episode = BRILLIANT

Office first episode = BRILLIANT

BSG first episode = BRILLIANT

Burn Notice first episode = BRILLIANT

These are the best shows on tv today, they started strong and have stayed strong.

This A&E show is weak, like it was written by a committee with pie charts and graphs.

Producer #1: Hey we need 40% drugs, 20% violence, 15% sex and 25% content.

Oh and to whomever up there mentioned people not liking this show cuz it's too "real", I can only LOL at that. C'mon, really, sexy addicts in Lamborghinis? People hate this show cuz it's the opposite of real!!!!

I beg to differ. Heroes, The Office, and Burn Notice are 3 of the most overrated tv shows ever. They bored me. I couldn't say anything either way about the rest, because I've never watched them.
