OT: Questions about Chicago director Ty Mac

Hi. My post doesn't have anything to do with "The Beast". Instead, my post pertains to a Chicago director about whom I have certain questions. Since many posters on this board are Chicago residents, I thought I would ask my questions here.

The director's name is Ty Mac. Recently, he posted the following to Chicago's section of craigslist:

Is Ty Mac a legitimate director making legitimate movies? Or is he some kind of scam artist?

If anyone here has any information on Ty Mac, please post the information to this forum. Thank you.

Well, every director says that his film is the biggest film ever. :)

But has Ty Mac told any verifiable lies? Has Ty Mac promised actors money and not paid them?

Is there any hard evidence that this guy is a con artist?

Sounds like a typical ghetto production, where the "director" will tell you about all the fantastic contacts he has, and all the "big" things that will happen with the film...eventually. There may even be a C or D-list rapper in the movie. Don't expect to get paid for it, though.

Speaking of movies that may be "ghetto" productions, in mid-November 2008, I auditioned for a movie called "Neighborhood". The auditions took place on the South Side of Chicago, near Cermak.
