The writing is horribly dramatic.
But if you think Death Wish is believable you're beyond salvation.
My comment wasn't just on the show, but the actor chosen to portray a role. Charles Bronson was believable in that part holding the gun like that. I admit you're right that the movie wasn't believable but the actor chosen was. So was Ian McShane. Swayze looks like a wimp. He looks like John Travolta's character in Saturday Night Fever holding a gun making out like some bad ass that he is not. Swayze wasn't all that successful pulling off the Point Break character, over the top as usual, and then when he put on a dress for To Wong Foo, to me, he lost all credibility as even coming close to a bad ass role. He just can't cut it in my opinion. Never saw Bronson in a dress did you?

I think you missed the OP's point Rycor. I can see by the pics what he means. Swayze doesn't appear to be in the role and that he is posing is obvious. The other two appear to be in role and are believable. Swayze can't pull it off. I believe him when he's holding baby, or a doing a yoga position, but not holding a gun. I don't buy that either.

Despite what this Rycor poster thinks, I agree with the OP.
Swayze doesn't instill any fear in me just by holding a gun. Bronson and McShane have a far higher intensity quotient, thus are more successful at convincing the viewer that they mean business when holding a weapon such as a gun. Bronson and McShane would have no problem using that weapon, whereas Swayze would easily melt, hand the gun over and ask for a dance.
(Geez, Rycor takes this all so very seriously, doesn't it?)

I disagree. He knows she will have transportation, she flys her own plane for christ's sake. She is selfish, walking ahead of him all giddy to get a new car and he's left somber and quiet behind her snacking on some stale popcorn. At this point she should be watching every morsel that enters into his body, the temple she supposedly worshipped at for thirty years, and make sure he eats only the best of everything. She comes off very tacky, rude and unloving. My opinion and I have a right to it.
