Yeah, he may perhaps wear contacts. He has an active fan club and it seems his fans like him that way!

I saw him first in the Nadia episode (ep 3) which is the one that got me hooked. He had to be quite moved by Nadia's situation and by the end quite drawn to her.

I thought he handled it pitch-perfectly and would not object if he and Nadia re-united! I posted this on the A&E board for the show at the time.

The more I study Angela Gots for how she pulled it off in the Nadia episode, the more I've come to admire Travis Fimmel for his own exceptional talent and generosity here.

They are alone together for almost the whole time that Angela's on screen - she has a few moments with the thug (moments he wont forget!) and a brief hug of Patrick Swayze (he doesnt know where to look!) at the end, and that's it for her.

Start with Angela. Aggressive seduction of Travis, to a scathing rejection of him when she finds he's a cop, to sitting with him in his apartment, much of it on the floor (beautiful scene) while she slowly lets her sad life in Rumania spill out, to her fire-breathing scene with the thug, to a search for her kidnapped kid, and finally to the hugs at the airport and she is gone.

Travis's role is essentially to react to all this and build her trust in him, and in my view he got it pitch-perfect.

In the first two scenes, he plays a little awkward in face of her aggression, in his apartment and in the kid scene he is respectful of her and increasingly caring for her, and in the last scene he exudes a real feeling of loss as she heads back to Rumania and he back into The Beast.

A kind and generous guy. Well cast and nicely played and I wish him much luck.
