What if they did a TV movies wrap-up?

Of course it they did I think it'd be in disrespect to the late Patrick Swayze (Rest in Peace). But if they did, I'd hope for something like this...

- Takes place two-five years after the seies ended

- FBI finds Charles Barker dead (no showing of the face)

- Ellis Dove wants to take lead in his murder but his bosses say no

- Ellis discovers a huge conspiracy within the FBI and finds out Barker was never the bad guy, but one of the good guys who tried to uncover the truth

- Ellis ends up going rogue to bring Barker's murderers to justice

Like I said, doing a TV movie without Patrick Swayze would be out of bad taste. But this is what I'd hope for in the story's conclusion.

While I would like to know the creators' insights into how the storylines would be concluded, I don't think you could sell a TV movie like this. Swayze was undoubtedly a main reason why "The Beast" moved forward in the first place, and you would need a strong name actor involved to sell it. Travis Fimmell, no disrespect to him, isn't going to compell people to watch. What sold the show was Swayze as Barker. It was his character, his performance that made the show compelling and engaging. Barker dead turns the story into a straight murder mystery, and I don't find that story to be very compelling.

that's really the only reason they cancelled it was Swayze dying. The ratings weren't great but if Swayze could've done a 2nd season he would've.

Sadly it wasn't meant to be...
