Christ I was close with my nominations. Apart from perhaps taking Academy voters feelings towards Charlie Wilson's War a little for granted (I mean its a good film, a good director, a good lead actor, a good supporting actor, a good supporting actress). I was always a little excited by The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford, which I still think was criminally dealt with by voters with just one of the major nominations.

Overall though I've got a decent percent ratio in all the categories that I predicted.

Best Film 2/5
Best Director 2/5
Best Actor 4/5
Best Supporting Actor 4/5
Best Actress 3/5
Best Supporting Actress 2/5 (although I had Laura Linney down for this category and she was nominated for best actress - so I was kind of right)

So now it's all confirmed here are my revised winners

Best Film - No Country For Old Men or Juno (it is this years Little Miss Sunshine and has a lot of support - but I'm hoping its No Country For Old Men)

Best Director - The Coen Brothers (but maybe Oscar voters will go for the foreign guy whose name escapes - actually I have no idea how to spell it - who made Diving Bell And The Butterfly)

Best Actor - Daniel Day Lewis is a shoe-in for this (unless he does a Russell Crowe and goes apesh!t at some point between now and February 24)

Best Supporting Actor - Javier Barden is the other shoe-in (but major props to Casey Affleck flying the flag solo for The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford)

Best Actress - Julie Christie or Elen Page (Two way race for me between them and if Page wins great - but I think Christie will pip her to the title purely because this film and performance reminded people that not was she good but also that she wasn't dead)

Best Supporting Actress - Cate Blanchett is going to be the front-runner and she will win so long as her other nomination doesn't detract votes. If not her than Amy Ryan would be my choice.

I guess the biggest loser of the night will be Michael Clayton. Plenty of nominations but I can't see it winning any of the major awards.
